Don’t forget to marvel
Vera Rubin wasn’t very active on Twitter, in fact she sent only six tweets, all on February 6 this year. But they’re good ones.
Don't forget to marvel at the nights sky's magnificence. If you are lucky enough that might turn into your life's passion.

Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't good enough. My science teacher once told me I wasn't good enough for science and look at me now.

Don't shoot for the stars, we already know what's there. Shoot for the space in between because that's where the real mystery lies.

That’s what she did. Result: discovery of dark matter.
Best of all the last one:

If you’re only going to write six tweets they should definitely be ones that make the rest of us look bad. I was vaguely aware of Rubin and her connection to dark matter, but didn’t know many excellent things about her that I now do thanks to Ophelia and others.
Rebecca Watson posted a video on Patreon about Rubin here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/rip-vera-rubin-7595020
She points out that more people called Peter have received Nobel prizes in physics than women.
You might have to be a subscriber, I’m not sure.
