  Now that’s what I call a fucking stupid argument. It is, in fact, Trump’s own ‘logjc’ when he calls it a ‘Democratic (sic) Shutdown and says in the same sentence that the Dems are unwilling to compromise and that he will not negotiate on funding for Wall. So, in the spirit of both-siderism, Trump’s at fault for holding the U.S.A. hostage, the Democrats in the house are at fault for refusing to give the hostage-taker what he wants. Right-ho, sounds….erm…reasonable (not!).

  I hope to the gods I don’t believe in that the Dem’s don’t cave in to him, because he’s a child who, once he’s found a way to get his own way, will repeat the tactic every single time he’s in danger of having his demands refused. It should go without saying that if he does win this one, he will be constantly demanding everything that pops into his idioting little headI’In fact, I’m becoming more convinced by the day that this will not – indeed cannot end well now, whatever the outcome. If the Dems give in (which I fear they might do in a misguided attempt to get government working again) then whatever shackles might have been checking Trump’s worse impulses will be gone for good. If the Dem’s stand firm, Trump will set about destroying everything with a vengeance. I’d go as far as to say that he will agitate his base to such an extreme level of anger at the Dem’s, and by association all liberal-minded Americans, that violent civil disturbances will be inevitable. I won’t go so far as claiming a civil war is on the cards, that would be hyperbolic to say the least, but it certainly won’t be pretty.

  And the Orange Nero will be on the fiddle for all he’s worth while America burns.

  This statement made my day.

  The rapist’s demand for the woman to spread her legs is one reason for the rape. The woman’s refusal to comply is another.

  Perhaps if during the shutdown the Congress, the Prez and the top brass didn’t get paid and had to pay a penalty for each day of shutdown, maybe then they would at least think about the consequences of the shutdown.
