Let it be fully understood
Trump is bullshitting about his Absolute Power to do whatever he feels like doing, again.
It’s not the news media, it’s just reality. He can say “Let it be understood…” all he wants, but that doesn’t make the thing he wants us to understand true. Let it be understood that Donald Trump of Queens is a bumbling blowhard.
It isn’t. He’s not the Universal Boss. He thinks he is, he wants to be, but he isn’t.
Yeahbut who ya gonna believe, the Constitution or Donald Trump?
Well, the constitution is the underpinning of the Deep State, isn’t it? Out with it! Except the second amendment, of course. That part is sacred. Probably God himself snuck it in while nobody was looking.
Let it be understood that Donald Trump knows fuck all about anything. I’m watching the Megapolis – it’s falling like dominoes, exactly as I expected. NY>NJ>PA>MD+DC>VA. When it takes off in DC, it is going to be a bloodbath – it’s dense, poor and predominantly black with high levels of traffic coming in and out of the district.
If you open up the MD-DC-VA area, it will be a horror show just like NY. He certainly won’t care about the death toll. But it’s going to get increasingly sticky. What are you going to do, shut the White House down like a fortress, nobody goes in or out? What about the huge numbers of staff required to keep it going? Even pared down to a skeleton crew, it’s got to be a considerable number. Who else will clean the toilets, change the lightbulbs, man the switchboard, fix the computers, vacuum the floors or cook dinner? I can’t imagine anyone named Trump could do any of those things. Nor would they stoop to doing so.
It’s not just that it’s too soon to reopen the country even if he had that power. It’s that he doesn’t seem to realize how close to home, to him, it will hit.
Oh I don’t know, they’ll probably seal him up in a bubble and rush him off to a top secret cave somewhere along with a manacled gang of people to clean the toilets and chop up his food. On the other hand he won’t be able to give press rallies where he announces he has absolute total power any more.
