Yes. That’s right. It’s like movies. War isn’t actually a real thing, with real bullets and explosions and death and mutilation, it’s a thing you watch, with suited up guys running up hills. Then you have cookies and milk and go to bed.
Bit of a discrepancy there.

As if “politics” hasn’t “entered” into his fervent wish to “open the country.”
Trump believes he’s a stable genius, too. Sure, he believes in the Constitution, but the one he believes in bears no resemblance at all to the document he swore to uphold and defend.
Trump believes in the same Constitution all the right wingers do. The one that gives them absolute power to do what they want to do, and forbids Democrats from holding office. Oh, and says we are a Christian nation. That Constitution.
From his inauguration crowd numbers to COVID-19 and everything in between, Trump has relied on just one way of dealing with uncomfortable truths. I think of it as the RAMBO method.
Ridicule anyone and everyone not seen as pro-Trump.
Avoid responsibility for wrongdoings.
Misinform everybody about everything, absolutely everything, and finally always, but always;
Blame
Obama.

But Rambo was a real man, who singlehandedly won the Vietnam War when the US had lost it; and who (long before Trump got the idea) made America great again. Derrrcisively. He won on the movie screen what could not be won on the battlefield. So his name should not be taken in vain.
Be under no illusions: there should be a Rambo Memorial in Washington, just down Bleeker Street from the Lincoln Memorial..(I think I have my geography right.;-)
Omar, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but there is an *actual* Rocky Balboa statue in Philadelphia, so…it’s not, strictly speaking, out of the question.

And then, Rambo went to Afghanistan in the 80s and defeated the Soviets by teaming up with … uh… never mind that part. He KICKED COMMIE BUTT, that’s what is important.
Precisely. Trump lives in a Rambo reality, one where history is re-written with no regard for facts and the hero can get away with as much as the audience will accept.
