Are they? Really? Is it all one direction? Is there no holding our society apart through rivalry and sectarianism? Is there no keeping people disunited over religious differences? And even if it’s true about the together and united, does it have to happen in groups of people in closed buildings during a pandemic? Can there not be services via Zoom? Don’t religious people want to help and shield their co-believers?

While others embrace lying and bullying and grabbing women by the pussy. We know. Still doesn’t mean they can’t suspend in-person worship during a pandemic; still doesn’t mean they can’t do the worship at home.

He’s a fat elderly man who spent a lifetime shunning physical activity, so of course standing and shouting for ___ minutes at a stretch is a tiring experience. But yes, he used to be able to go on and on at a rally for an hour or so, how long was that particular conference thingo? He may well be losing his breath rapidly lately. Here’s hoping he is shitting himself in fear that he may have covid.

Trump will take robust church attendence as a vote of confidence and faith in him. Did anyone try to explain to him that it might not be such a shit-hot idea to launch the virus’s second wave a) before the first wave is under control, and b) before the election? There will be increased pressure to reduce the body count to hide the truth, but there’s only so much bad news you can sweep under rugs of finite size.

I’m guessing Trump doesn’t realize that some women may need emergency abortions?
I’m guessing he doesn’t care. Much of his base is opposed even to abortions to save the woman’s life, so he doesn’t care, as long as he gets cheers from the crowd.
Really all women who need abortions need them on an emergency basis – the earlier it is the safer it is, plus pregnancy itself is risky plus there are discomforts which increase over time.
