Trump is giving a “speech” (a series of blurts and ramblings) to celebrate his successful coup.
I suppose he means there were people who thought he was a bad man before he started running for president. Well no kidding. Birtherism? The Central Park 5? Yes we thought he was a bad man; of course we did. He stands around preening and smirking about how bad he is and also whines about people who think he’s bad. He’s not very alert to cause and effect, it seems.

Why give his defence team an ovation? He didn’t need them. If he’d turned up at the impeachment hearing and admitted that he was guilty of both charges the Senate vote would have been the same.
AoS, he could have shown up at the impeachment hearing, shot a Senator in the head, stripped down to the skin and done a pole dance, and they would have declared him guilty of nothing.
BKiSA – I do think Trump preys – not prays. But, of course, praying is meaningless to being a good person, or even a religious person. Preying, on the other hand, is a common thing among the wealthy.
