So apparently Trump is mad at us because we’re not impressed by his diplomatic chops.

So his point is that Russia is the injured party here? Meaning, Ukraine invaded Russia, not the other way around? Has no one told him the facts?

Erm. I knew he was abusing that “thank you for your attention” catchphrase but I didn’t realize he doesn’t even get that it’s the punchline to an order or demand that somebody do something. It’s the punchline to “Pay up!” or “Get out!” or “Give it back!” or “Go fuck yourself!” It’s not the punchline to “Here’s what they’re doing!” or “I hate them!!!” It’s a passive-aggressive emphasis that accompanies a “Do this or else.”

Wait. Did Putin offer this? No? Then it’s not relevant to the media discussing Trump’s willingness to sacrifice Ukraine, and his weakness and wavering in dealing with Putin’s demands. They’re allowed to point out duplicity and weakness. They’re supposed to criticize the administration for this. That Trump is giving them fodder to do exactly that is entirely his own fault. Admiration comes from doing things that are admirable. Has Trump ever done anything that is actually admirable? That ledger is very thin, with lots of blank pages.

I’d be perfectly willing to give him credit as a magic dealmaker if he talked the Neo-Soviets into such an arrangement (that was honored); maybe he should’ve attempted it. Glad he’s feeling humiliated though…
Oh dear, the stable genius doesn’t seem to realise that persuading Putin to back off and return to the old borders, would in fact likely get him the Nobel Peace prize he seems to covet so much:) and won’t get otherwise!
