So apparently “inclusion” requires not mentioning lesbians and gays. Funny how “inclusion” somehow gets us back to the 1950s and calls it progressive.
One of the longest running LGBT film festivals has changed names for its 31st birthday. The Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival, happening September 6-9, is now officially the All Genders, Lifestyles, and Identities Film Festival. Festival director Jim Brunzell says this year is the perfect time to address issues of inclusion and intersection the queer community has faced all year. And judging by the festival’s lineup it’s totally walking its talk.
And this is different from “all lives matter” and “I don’t see color” how exactly?

Isn’t “lifestyle” the word people use to imply that sexuality is a choice, and anyone who “chooses” to be gay or lesbian has chosen the morally wrong path?
‘The gay lifestyle’ has been a stock phrase for Xtian homophobes for some decades now. How tin-eared can you be to parrot their language in the name of ‘intersectionality?’

Further, the instistence that sexuality is a choice rather than something innate is one of the main methods used when claiming that sexuality should not be protected from discrimination, as only innate things are protected.
Meanwhile, maybe the Black Entertainment Network should be renamed All Skin Colours Entertainment Network… hello? Is this thing on? Hm, no takers…
I went to The Advocate’s website and checked their headlines. I scrolled through more than two dozen stories about gay men and trans-identified males (transwomen) before I found two stories featuring lesbians.
Some friends call Pink News “Penis News.” Has The Advocate gone the same way?
All genders?! So this festival celebrates heterosexual men and women? Pfft!
