Basketball tickets the price of a car

Nikki Haley has resigned as Trump’s ambassador to the UN. Walter Shaub has a few totally unrelated remarks.

    And I’ve just read that the princess or Jared are being spoken of as possible candidates for Haley’s replacement. Why? Because Trump says that Haley had made the job a “more glamorous position” (because of course Trump would say that) so it stands to reason that a complete airhead can do the job as long she or he has good cheekbones….

    Asked about Haley’s successor, Trump said there were “a number of people that would very much like to do it”, saying that Haley had made it “a more glamorous position”.

    Among the possible candidates is the president’s daughter Ivanka, and Haley went out of her way to praise her [….]

    …..or is an unrecognised genius.

    […] and her husband, Jared Kushner, [….] “Jared is such a hidden genius that nobody understands,” Haley said, crediting him with the replacement of the Nafta trade agreement and claiming the Middle East peace plan was “unbelievably well done”.

    Jared’s genius is so hidden, it’s like it might not even be there.

    The Middle East peace plan.

    Shit, did we get peace in the Middle East while I was away for the weekend?

    Checks.

    Nope. What kind of crack is she smoking again? As far as I can tell the US has given Israel and Saudi Arabia everything they wanted, screwed over and ignored a bunch of countries they helped to destabilise, attempted to restart the fight with Iran and has done the bare minimum in Iraq while making as much money as possible out of a country it had no business invading in the first place.

    I’m not seeing either peace or a peace plan.

    Rob, the bit I clipped from the second quote said

    …and her husband, Jared Kushner, who acts as a presidential adviser on the Middle East, and who is working on an Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, though its unveiling has been delayed multiple times.

    I’d like to think that the final part of that was meant to be as sarcastic as it appears to be.

    A ‘peace plan’ devised by a supporter of the illegal Zionist settlements? Yeah sure, wanna buy a treasure map, or a bridge?

    Yes, Iran has always been the main game, no matter what the cost in lives is make the ME safe for Israel.

    RJW, there is an old Jesus and Mo cartoon titled Peace in which Mo explains how Islam means ‘peace’. To paraphrase he puts it, two sides with opposing views clash, the larger force (in this case, Islam) kills the opposition and “Ta-Da! Peace”.

    I believe that’s the model Jared is working from.

    Yes, there’s peace and there’s the eerie peace of the grave. One of the more successful propaganda lines of the Zionists is that the present catastrophic situation of the Palestinians is caused by their fanatical hatred of Israel.

    The facts are, that some Zionists, a hundred years ago, anticipated the ‘disappearance’ of the Palestinians, they were just the natives. That attitude shocked even the rather callous British and French diplomats of the time.

    Until the moral imbeciles that run US foreign policy develop a conscience there with be no peace in the ME.

    Can’t really argue with that, RJW. Forty years ago my late grandfather told me that when (not ‘if’) WWIII started it will kick off in the Middle East, because ‘Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike, they’d rather blow the world to smithereens than cede ownership of that scrap of land to any of the others. And some silly sods had to go and invent the bloody bomb that’s made it possible’.

    Anyway, back to Nikki Haley. For some God forsaken reason I’ve had a Fox News article pop up in my news feed, and it’s comedic at best. Opening words;

    Nikki Haley will be remembered as one of the most aggressive and successful U.S. ambassadors to the United Nations…..

    By what measure? What’s she achieved that no other U.S. ambassador couldn’t match? After a few paragraphs of how wonderful this woman (hand-picked (!) by Trump, don’t ya know) really is comes a cracker of a joke:

    Haley didn’t just fight for Trump policies. She brought moral clarity to a United Nations that remains a cesspool of moral equivalence and globalist elitism.

    But that was just the lead-in to the real rib-breaking punchline;

    Most notably, she pulled the United States out of the Orwellian-named U.N. Human Rights Council, which coddles dictators and fights U.S. allies like Israel.

    HOLY SHIT, BATWOMAN! But why, pray, did Trump pick this woman who had no foreign policy experience for the job. After suggesting a couple of possible reasons that a cynical critic may offer, Fox tells us that…

    Less cynical observers thought Trump had spotted Haley’s talent and wanted someone …who had star power, rather than one of the usual intellectuals who often serve as U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

    ….she’s not at all bright but would have been an ideal contestant on The Apprentice. So why is she leaving? Well, Fox says that speculation will be rife, but beware, because

    …these assessments will be corrupted by the media’s insatiable lust to make Trump look bad regardless of fact.

    STOP! I can’t breath. [just need a minute to compose myself] OK, I’m fine now. So, what will the fake media say?

    They’ll say she’s leaving a sinking ship, privately disdains the president, or doesn’t want to be around if the House begins quixotic attempts to impeach Trump or other officials—an inevitability if radicalized Democrats win that body in elections next month.

    Oh my giddy aunt! I’m done. There’s plenty more but I just can’t. Not a rib unbroken, y’see.
