Drunk people can’t
We’re doomed.
Drunk people can't properly socially distance, a UK police officer warned after finishing a late shift Saturday — the first day that pubs reopened in England after the coronavirus shutdown. https://t.co/pBctzJgFyI

So what happens around July 18?
As the video shows, lifting #COVID19 bar restrictions in the UK led to a worst-case scene last night in London, as 10s of 1000s filled the streets, maskless, drinking, crowded.
Will this lead to a surge in new cases, in mid-July?@devisridhar @richardhorton1 @JeremyFarrar https://t.co/1vezh82mVs— Laurie Garrett (@Laurie_Garrett) July 5, 2020

Maybe there’s an aspect of the virus that hasn’t been properly investigated. Maybe it influences the brain of its carrier to engage in activities that help it to spread, like biting in rabies, and those parasites that hijack the brains of ants and snails so that they will be eaten by birds and thus carry the parasite into the next host used in its propagation?
Nah, probably just a bunch of drunken idiots having no thought or care for anything but themselves and their own pleasure. Oh, hi Mr. Farage!
I’ve just been arguing on Facebook with a Christian who thinks California’s new restriction on churches (no singing) is part of “their” “agenda”. Not sure who They are or precisely what Their Agenda is; I was too busy trying to explain a thing. To no avail.
I’m told “They” have lost all credibility.
Lady M, it’s They. That’s all we need to know. They is the worst it gets. They is everywhere. They is coming for you. They will take away your freedoms. (Have I used the singular They enough in this post to satisfy the Trans lobby yet?)
Not sure if this is how to embed a tweet, but here goes:

Richard, to embed a tweet, click on the little down arrow in the top right of the tweet. This brings up an ’embed tweet’ menu. Click that and a new window opens that includes a block of HTML gibberish. Click the ‘copy code’ button, return to B&W and click paste in your comment. There may be a smarter way, but that’s how I do it.
Thanks Rob.
