What you’re telling us to support
I missed these back in early March.
24 days later Gloria Steinem boasts of signing the open letter that says we all have to “support” men who say they are women, and accuses feminists who say no of co-opting “the feminist label.”
These sentiments are disgusting. There is nothing more to say.

So I suppose TERF, Cis, Transphobe are not terms of “division and hatred”??? Where, tell me where is this kind of denegrating and abusive language being used against trans people? Nowhere, that’s where. Maybe Gloria is of an age where she doesn’t want to be labelled as one of these, which makes it all the more absurd that she would align herself with such belligerent bad actors. It’s gross. I mean WTF.
The Jacob Tobia quote is really depressing. It’s the same kind of logic that some men use to defend sexual harassment. “Well, *I* would be thrilled if a woman in my office complimented *my* ass, so what’s the big deal?” A classic case of where the Golden Rule fails.
Some depressing signatories to that GLAAD open letter including Kimberlè Crenshaw (who appears to have both created and then corrupted intersectionality) and Catharine MacKinnon, who I had understood to be a radical feminist.
Loads of TiMs of course, and usual LGBT orgs, but an alarming number of DV orgs.
