to make up for the loss of L&CP board work, the issue was edited by journal members—those seemingly unoffended by the content—outside of their role on the board, and as well as *paid* research assistants, as the faculty board made clear in the issue’s foreword. 5/

to be clear, the students who stayed on the journal’s editorial board voted to withhold student editor work from the issue and requested the masthead make this work bifurcation clear. 7/ pic.twitter.com/YKkV9PtBov

but the perpetuation of an artificial dichotomy between (1) students’—and journal editors’!—personal safety and (2) the alleged necessity of publishing harmful scholarship is an untenable solution for academia and must stop. 9/
