But it isn’t “for who we are.” THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. It’s “for who we are not.” The demand is for respect and recognition of a fiction, a game, a lie – a fiction-game-lie that intrudes on and weakens the rights of other people, in particular the half of human beings who are female.
It’s beyond ridiculous to keep howling about respect for who we are when what they mean is respect for who they are not. Beeee-yond.
And “respect,” of course, is a one-way street. The TA ideologues never spare a single thought about respect for and kindness to women. Narcissists to the core.

Although I deeply suspect that TA narcissists DO see their own cruelty. They revel in it; the cruelty is a large part of the point.
It’s a “what” not a “who” in any case… “who you are” is Disney drivel and utterly meaningless…
“Respect” trans people? Yeah. Nah. I don’t even respect most normies, heteros, gays, lesbians, enbees, or footballers.
Respect isn’t demanded of strangers, nor is it due to strangers. Respect is earned, and you cannot earn it if we have never engaged. It doesn’t have to be face to face, it can be places like this, Twitter, wherever people communicate, but until we have exchanged words and thoughts there is no basis for respect.
So FO with your demands for special treatment.
