Meaning…what?
Does she mean that men who claim to be women do not have male anatomy because it’s their anatomy so it’s not male? Or does she mean they simply magically don’t have male anatomy?
Or both? Or does she not mean anything except “do it to them, don’t do it to me?”
I wouldn’t ask, but this is a former Deputy PM of Canada so…

Could be any of the above, or it could be that Copps is in the generational mindset (given her age) that trans people actually transition. As noted though, many do not. I’d hazard a guess that natal males are less likely to undergo full surgery than natal females.
It could also be that the awkward phrase she used, “transgendered women”, refers to women who claim to be men. And perhaps she thought “transwomen” refers to such women. She would be far from the first person confused about the terminology.
Clear as mud, as the saying goes.
Standard word game. Women have female anatomy, and trans women are women, therefore all anatomy they have is female. See also: What do you mean, biological sex? Trans women are women, and biological, therefore we are biologically male.
Reasoning so shallow that it becomes a testament of their true belief to say out loud.
Or she could just be a liar.
And what’s the point of making this… ambiguous assertion? Just to stake out her location at the far leafy end of the branch?
Whelp, if nothing else Sheila just got a nice plump “0” on all my test questions asking about female or male anatomy and/or physiology. I’d invite her into my classroom to help her out there, but given her public history she strikes me as the sort of student I don’t care to have there.
My vote would be for magic in this case.

She says the bit about legislation requiring parental permission regarding “preferred pronouns” is if it were a bad thing. Intiating or supporting a child’s “social transition” without parental knowledge and aproval is not the school’s business. Any that do have taken transactivisms’s side againts parents, under the mistaken, default belief that parents, as a rule, will harm, abuse, or punish their children. Activists do not have children’s best interests at heart; they are out to indoctrinate and recruit. They peddle the lie that all dysphoric children are “trans” when most of them are gay or lesbian. The rush to “socially transition” these kids short circuits their chance to desist, which is what most of them would do. Branding the “watchful waiting” (that would more often than not result in desistance) as conversion therapy makes the child’s recruitment into a lifelong, medicalized “gender journey” that much more likely. That teachers and school boards are aiding and abetting in this is sinister. (Q:Will detransitioners be able to sue their educators as well as their doctors in the failure of their duty to care?) Parents have the right to know. And a right to say “No” for their children’s sake.

She tries to downplay “the adolescent pronoun debate,” and brushes off “the small percentage of people who oppose transgender teaching in schools,” hoping nobody notices that “the adult pronoun debate” is an attack on women, and that many people really have no idea what’s at stake, and if more did, that percentage would be much larger. That larger percentage might be quite alarmed by the demands of trans activists without having any impact at all on the support for LGB rights they very well might provide; after all “transgenderism is something completely different. But thanks to forced teaming, Copps and others like her get to portray any legitimate criticism of trans demands as some kind of threat to “the whole community,” when it’s only the illegitimate power and influence of the T that is at stake. And transactivists are quite willing to drag everyone else with them to keep what they’ve got; dupes like Copps who go along with the forced teaming help them get away with this. I’d willing to bet that this “voting bloc” of trans supportive parents and grandparents would be easily overwhelmed at the polls by the vast number of people who will feel that they’ve been betrayed by having been lied to by the likes of Copps, the Liberal Party , and the media. This will not end well for Canada’s parties on the left, which have ruined their credibility with this ill-advised dalliance with the supposedly “progressive” politics of gender identity.
@YNNB, being a paid up member of Team Trans is no guarantee of being fully aware of the terminology or reality. I have had quite serious arguments online with trans supporters who swore blind to me that trans women have babies. How, I asked. Oh, you know, they said. They were genuinely of the belief that transition enabled pregnancy in males. Ditto the breastfeeding, of which we have seen much of late.
Team Trans just means you’ll agree at all times and bulldoze any opposition.
YNNB, the parents have a right, but they also have a responsibility, and that responsibility is to be the adult in the room when the child wants to do something that is counter to their wellbeing. People can see this when children want to play with knives and parents don’t let them, or when children want to play with matches and parents don’t let them. Why can’t they see it when children want to have bits cut off and sterilize themselves with cross-sex hormones?
Acadia, I’ve had a similar experience, and with people who actually claim to be trans. I was in a conversation once with a “trans” woman who insisted that Twitter was suspending the accounts of people who supported trans, and that the gender critical were being treated like royalty. In spite of the fact that this person could not name one person suspended, and I could name several GC feminists who were should have been a wake up call. It wasn’t. It’s easy to avoid knowing the truth if you don’t want to know it.
