Was it Foucault who asserted that something along the lines that since the category of ‘homosexual’ wasn’t invented until (I think) the late 19th century, there was no such thing as a homosexual person before that time?

It’s a classic example of a deepity.
I’ve actually witnessed dragonflies and squash bugs having sex. Insects were around before humans. Did we have to construct it before they were able to recognize the sexes? If so, how did we instruct them? Insects and humans do not speak the same language.
This is basically Idealism with a constructivist spin.
