Another front
The Guardian words this so carefully, and dishonestly.
At least 11 states and two territories are capitulating to a recent demand from the Trump administration to strip references to gender identity and the existence of transgender and non-binary people from a federal sex education program, officials confirmed to the Guardian.
…
Prep aims to educate adolescents on healthy relationships and how to prevent pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted infections. In April, the Trump administration demanded all states and territories that receive money for Prep to send a copy of their curriculum to HHS and its agency the Administration for Children and Families for a “medical accuracy review”.
Four months later, the administration sent letters to 46 states and territories informing them that, in the course of the review, it discovered “content in the curricula and other program materials that fall outside of the scope of Prep’s authorizing statute”. Specifically, the administration said it had uncovered evidence of “gender ideology”, the rightwing shorthand for suggestions that gender is a fluid social construct and that trans and non-binary people exist.
Except that the issue is not “suggestions” that gender is fluid. The issue is the insistence that sex can be swapped. There’s quite a yawning gap between those two claims, a gap filled with shouting angry “activists” trying to force women to agree that men are women if they say they are.
The Trump administration is of course not the ideal set of people to take on this fight, but the Democrats refuse to take it on at all. Women are between a rock and a hard place.
The Guardian contacted every state, as well as most territories, that received letters from the Trump administration. Alaska, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wyoming said they would remove the references or had done so already. The US Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands, two territories, said the same.
Two other states, Alabama and South Dakota, said their Prep curricula never included the terminology referenced in the Trump administration’s letters.
Collectively, these states are home to more than 120,000 trans people between the ages of 13 and 17, according to estimates by the Williams Institute, a department of the UCLA School of Law.
Because trans ideology is a popular fad, but that is not a reason to encourage teenagers to think it’s based in reality. If 120,000 kids between 13 and 17 believe they can change sex then that’s a tragedy, but it’s not a reason to tell them they’re right to think so.
“If our goal is to support youth and give them a safe space, I’m not sure why we are stomping on the most vulnerable youth in the population,” said Cindi Huss, who leads Rise, an organization that provides sex education in Tennessee.
Define “safe space.” Is it a space where teenagers are encouraged to think they’re in the wrong body? Define “stomping on.” Is it telling teenagers they’re in their own bodies? Define “most vulnerable.” Are kids who think they’re trans automatically and always more vulnerable than kids who are shy or dorky or poor or depressed or dealing with alcoholic parents?
It remains true that the Trump people are the wrong ones to deal with it though.

This is but one of the many successful deployments of The Big Lie* by trans ideology, and probably the most successful of the lot. It was the Trojan Horse that opened the gates of liberal guilt and sympathy to the subsequent forced teaming with LGB rights. It would seem cruel and churlish to abandon a Vulnerable Community to its fate in a cruel, bigoted world. Little did they suspect the mess this would create.
The “most vulnerable” trope is now seen as “fact” through nothing but sheer repetition, such that even many of those neutral or undecided regarding trans “rights,” or those who are opposed to them feel compelled to act as though it was, being careful to pussyfoot around the fact that they aren’t, and treat TiMs with kid gloves, and behave as if they weren’t actually men. Even this unneccesary caution helps to reinforce the idea that reversing the invasion of women’s spaces by men is a complicated, nuanced affair requiring some kind of “deliberation” or “balance”, when it requires neither.
Other examples of genderists’ use of Truth by Repetition include TWAW, NO CONFLICT, and JK ROWLING IS A HATEFUL, TRANS-GENOCIDAL, TERF BIGOT, the validity of all of which are coming under increasing pressure as more and more counter-examples strain the assumed “truth” of these ridiculous claims. I suspect the “most vulnerable” lie will survive longer than these other two through ingrained mental inertia, and as the ideology’s final surviving appeal to knee-jerk, “progressive” sentiment.

Of course, for anybody to think that trans are the ‘most marginalized’, they have to forget about all the other, actually vulnerable, groups that might have claim to that title. And when they say, as they sometimes do, that they are the ‘most marginalized ever, then people have to forget about slavery, the Holocaust, Native American kids torn from their parents to be sent to Christian schools, the Magdalene laundries, the asylum seekers from truly horrific situations, FGM, and…stop me, this could go on all night.
It requires a form of selective amnesia that is truly horrifying in its scope.
And once you’ve trained yourself to do that, stripping women of their rights is effortless and compulsory.
The claim that trans are the “most vulnerable” is accidentally true-ish, in the sense that you gsters falling for T propaganda are brainwashed and groomed to harm themselves in fundamental ways, almost before their lives have begun.
The old white men who proclaim themselves to be women often don’t go in for genital surgery, and retain intact their fully functional male genitalia. If they do surgeries, it’s breast implants or facial feminization, not genital mutilation.. They also like to hog up the supplies of female hormones. It’s a two-fer: they get to enhance their fantasy of cosplaying women, and stick it to the actual women for whom it really is hormone replacement therapy. The men cause shortages of the hormones for the people who actually need them. Double-win for the men.
The younger recruits, I fear, may be far more likely to to go down the reproductive tract surgical route, aka, genital mutilation. These surgeries have a 100% failure rate in achieving the supposed goal of changing the patient’s sex. Even if the patients understand, to a degree, that the surgery will, at best, give them a non-functional ersatz facsimile of the genitalia of the opposite sex, they are hardly in a position to know what they are giving up: normal experiences of sex. Males end up deprived of any organ of sexual sensation. Women can end up deprived of every organ in their reproductive tract, and, if they go in for “phalloplasty,” they will have permanent losses of skin from other areas to construct a fake penis that doesn’t perform well even as an extended urethra. “Vaginoplasty” is no more successful, and results in what is essentially an open wound that is deliberately prevented from healing. Never mind the complications of leakage from the colon if the wall is breached. Trans genital surgeries have high rates of complications, requiring even more surgeries, more expense, more pain, more recovery time, for pretend results.
Those are the effects of the Big Lie on actually vulnerable children. Yes, these “trans kids” are “vulnerable,” just not in the ways that T dogma tries to pretend. T makes victims of its own followers.
In addition to the Big Lie, there is also trans Double-think and Double-speak.
Trans: Our “gender identity” is innate and permanent. We know we are trans from a very young age. You are not allowed to question it.
Also Trans: “gender identity” is fluid and changeable, and we can be women on M, W, F, .men on T, Th, Sa, and non-binary on Su, or any damn thing we please. And you are not allowed to question it.
“even as an extended urethra” – gee, who doesn’t want that?
