Perp walk: yea or nay?
The lust for public humiliation continues.
An FBI agent has reportedly been suspended because they refused to participate in a “perp walk” of the bureau’s former director James Comey, US media reports. The agent was suspended for insubordination, according to the BBC’s news partner CBS, after the agent found the plan to be inappropriate.
Mr Comey was indicted in Virginia on two federal charges days after Donald Trump called on law enforcement to more aggressively investigate his political adversaries, including Mr Comey.
FBI leadership has discussed sending “large, beefy” agents in Kevlar vests to bring Mr Comey to his court arraignment in Alexandria next week, CBS reports.
Trump is so ungrateful. It’s possible that without Comey he wouldn’t have been elected in the first place. Her emails yadda yadda.

Trump should also be grateful that the cops never perp-walked him, but followed the normal procedure in such cases of allowing defendants to surrender themselves at the local police station.
Unfortunately those in charge bent over backwards to be extra-super careful so as not appear to be presecuting Trump over January 6 out of a vengeful partisanism to such an extent, and so goddamn slowly that he got away with it. Trump is now busy dismantling the foundations of democracy, and law and order, all while putting himself above the law, and doing the weaponization of judicial machinery that he was always going to accuse his opponents of engaging in.
I remain convinced that this was a miscalculation by Comey. I think he regarded the notion of a Trump victory as so remote, that it didn’t matter what he did–so I think he was just hoping for a weaker President Hillary. He certainly has expressed considerable regret for the outcome of his actions, if not the actions themselves.
And of course, the notion of gratitude for anything is so alien to Trump that he would actually be MORE likely to persecute someone he might feel obliged to thank/repay.
