Here come the wreckers, again, with no apparent elevation drawings, blueprints, planning commission approvals, EIRs, permits, etc. Tear down? Yes bulldoze ahead ASAP. Actual construction of a real building? Not so much. At least Hitler put forward his proposals with real architectural models and drawings.

This is so…dictatorial. “I have decided” – yeah, like you know anything about the arts, about culture, about entertainment, about beauty. Shouting “you’re fired” on television for several years does not make you an entertainer.
I despair. The institutions of this country will never be the same again. I worry that he plans on gold plating everything…I suspect it’s certain. Old, beautiful buildings are not his idea (I don’t personally know what the Kennedy Center – I will not call it the Trump Kennedy Center – looks like, or if it is beautiful, but I know with Trump in charge it will not be. It will be hideous).

U.S. Marine Band
The U.S. Marine Band announced in February 2025 that the Marine Band would not perform in the Equity Arc Wind Symphony event, a collaboration between Marine Band members and selected high school musicians.
The U.S. Marine Band, known also as “The President’s Own” was founded by an Act of Congress in 1798, making it the country’s oldest professional music organization.
Composer Kevin Charoensri, whose music had been scheduled to be performed by the band at the event, stated in a Facebook post that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) orders resulted in the cancellation of the Equity Arc concert:
“It has come to my attention that the program, one based on equity and diversity of voices, is no longer supported at the federal level under this administration,” Charoensri wrote. “It was for this reason that the program and performance were canceled.”
The Marine Band won’t play anymore at the destroyed Kennedy Center.
None of these groups will play at it in two years either, if it’s still Trumpified.

Maybe there will be more ‘from my perspective’ movies to serve in the interim. Fox News says Melania was a smash hit! Maybe a whole catalog of worthless accounts by the greedy weasels in his orbit. I mean who needs the Kennedy Center, the East Wing, health care, foreign aid, allies, the Contitution, law, decency, respectability? That photo he put up in the White House of he and Putin indeed speaks a thousand words, a few of which tell of a fascist oligarch and his student. Who needs entertainment of any kind as long as we have Propaganda and Trump branded phony baloney in every corner of the media. It’s so profoundly sickening.
