He’s so full of shit. Of course “hormone treatment” doesn’t wipe out 100% of male advantage. It doesn’t shrink the skeleton.
I’m so tired of these men blithely giving away women’s rights while pretending to be on Team Righteous.

It doesn’t, but even if it did, the women’s division isn’t a “poor performance” division. WilLIAm Thomas, Michael Phelps, or the guy from the pool at the Y, none belongs in the women’s division, and for the same reason. The division exists partly because of performance differences, but not solely for that reason, and I hate it when ideologues like Tatchell just gloss over that point.
Sackbut, that is so true. For centuries, women have been excluded from sports, not because they were weaker or smaller, but because they were women. This is about allowing women something of their own, something they can do without men interfering (though a lot of the coaches are men; I think that’s starting to change, though).
These men are intruding into a space set aside for those who have long needed something of their own. For so long, we have had to settle for men’s scraps, even to the point of a prestigious job being less prestigious once women were there (and less well paid; secretary comes to mind). Now we are supposed to stand and applaud when yet another man takes yet another prize away from us, takes yet another space that we have only been able to call our own for a short period of time.
For some of us, this is a bridge too far.
