They’re not Americans, they’re socialist-communists

Free speech?

The editor and publisher of a local paper in Alabama is under fire for penning an editorial calling for mass lynchings by the Ku Klux Klan (KKK).

The opinion piece ran in his print-only newspaper, the Democrat-Reporter, last Thursday, Goodloe Sutton confirmed on Tuesday.

He said Democrats were going to raise taxes and that the KKK should hang them and raid Washington DC.

Murder for raising taxes seems a little strong.

“Time for the Ku Klux Klan to night ride again,” the article said, referencing the KKK’s terrorising raids through black communities.

“Democrats in the Republican Party and Democrats are plotting to raise taxes in Alabama… This socialist-communist ideology sounds good to the ignorant, the uneducated, and the simple-minded people.”

Sutton later confirmed to the Montgomery Advertiser that he had written the article.

“If we could get the Klan to go up there and clean out DC we’d all been better off,” he said. “We’ll get the hemp ropes out, loop them over a tall limb and hang all of them.”

“It’s not calling for the lynchings of Americans. These are socialist-communists we’re talking about.”

And yet we’re going to DC to lynch them? DC is in the US, last I heard.

Democratic Representative Terri Sewell, who is black, said Sutton’s language was not a joke, but a threat.

So I’m following Representative Sewell on Twitter now.

I don’t understand. Chief Justice Roberts assured us all that racism ended some time in the late 60s, the 70s tops.

I’m guessing this guy is as much the editor of a “newspaper” as Bill Donahue is the head of an entity called “The Catholic League.” If it is an actual newspaper, and not just some guy who can’t write sitting alone in a basement with akeyboard and a photocopier, maybe someone should talk to anyone who happens to advertise in his paper. He might be an owner/publisher/editor, but he’s still gotta buy groceries.

If he loses the paper, he could become a speech writer for Trump. Apart from no mentions of Wall, he’s already got a handle on the material and themes his future potential patron prefers, and I’m sure he’s a really fine person, too.

It’s an actual paper. I don’t get the impression they have much of a staff, maybe just a couple of people. But they do have advertisers.

Sutton has been at The Democrat-Reporter since 1964. He inherited it from his father. He has worked there for years as the editor-publisher, meaning he both owns the paper and manages its editorial content. The Sutton family has operated the paper since 1917.

This socialist-communist ideology sounds good to the ignorant, the uneducated, and the simple-minded people.

As opposed to Goodloe Sutton, who is obviously the brightest crayon in the box.

He’s not a vile racist hack with a printer in his basement; he’s a vile racist award-winning journalist. A whole bunch of those awards have now been rescinded.

Ahh, a growling, rabid predator. Not everyone who feels this way is willing to be public about it. This guy’s done everyone a favor by telling everyone who he is. We should all keep and eye on him and anyone who associates with him. Don’t let him get behind you.
