Not very smart

Trump as adult and reasonable as ever.

Six hours ago, ranting and raving about the Federal Reserve, followed by ranting and raving about the Washington Post, which brought him to the scary media in general.

Where exactly would Donald Trump be without the media? Nowhere. He’d be a Queens landlord.

#TrumpsTerrifiedOfMueller is trending.

Finally the cherry on top.

Who is out of control, bonkers, indifferent to what is right or wrong, sick, phony, inexperienced, not very smart, bad for our country?

Well, none of that was terrifying…

It’s interesting that both Trump and some transgender advocacy groups are using the same tactic – Truth by assertion. Something is said and if you challenge it you are the problem. If you ask for clarification you are an America hater or a transphobe. Social media tyranny is used to dissuade dissent.

Sigh – The 21st century is a huge disappointment so far.

As I see it, Trump is flying a kite to test the political wind, or if you prefer, is out on a fishing expedition. His next step depends on how those political and media targets he has named respond to this latest rant, and most importantly, how much popular support this generates out there. Also, given the religious faith and beliefs of so many Americans, how it is popularly judged to line up with God’s will. (God presumably and as usual, not likely to be bothered making any announcement himself.)

So far, this is also in agreement with the personal histories of many tyrants and wannabees. Protecting ‘the people’ from their enemies and denouncing each and every opponent as An Enemy of The People is a very common historical tack followed by them. Except that Trump is such an ignoramus, he probably does not realise that fact, and will need to have it pointed out to him by John Bolton or some other eminence grease. (Or should that be ’eminence gris.’?)

And as he has the attention span of a toddler, it will not be long before he is interested in something completely different: like real estate prices in Greenland or Terra del Fuego: in case his minions can’t hold the line on global warming, and he wants to place an each-way bet..

He tweeted something yesterday about a ‘mob’ of immigrants rushing the border, ‘seriously injuring’ several border guards. The problem is, no MSM reported on the ‘attack’ (except for Fox, possibly following Trump’s lead). There was an incident on the Mexican side, and a scuffle on the border in which a couple of American guards recieved minor injuries not requiring hospital treatment, but nobody can find ant details on what Trump was tweeting about. His base was lapping it up, though.

It’s all so utterly bizarre, and getting worse by the day.

Phony Democrats. Wouldn’t those be Republicans? Or is he suggesting they only identify as Democrats? So what are the real Democrats doing? Are there any real Democrats? Or is it Trump that is only a figment of our imaginations? (Oh, I so wish….)

iknklast, to me “phony Democrats” refers to those who are standing in the way of the new generation of party membership; Pelosi comes to mind.

Holms, I actually suspect that Trump is just shoving the word “phony” there to suggest these people aren’t real Americans. It isn’t about whether they are real Democrats or not, it’s just another one of his shorthand brain farts that lumped together different points that he was trying to make. I suspect the real thing he wanted to say is that they were phony and that they were Democrats, both things making them valueless and suspect to his base, but in his usual rambling muddle, he smushed two ideas together to say something else altogether.

    Re #8:

I agree; it’s a reflexive dismissal like “fake news”.
