We’re in deep shit

Rick Bright is testifying before the House today.

The tone of Dr Bright’s testimony during this hearing is one of urgency.

Just now he warned that “The window is closing to address this pandemic because we still do not have a standardized coordinated plan to take our nation through this response.”

Bright, during this hearing, said that his increasingly urgent warnings about the coronavirus spread caused a “commotion” and he was pushed out of meetings as a result.

The lack of preparation starts with Trump, who blames Obama, who blames Bush Jr., who blames Clinton, who blames Bush Sr., who blames Reagan, who blames Carter, ad infinitum… It’s The Deep (Shit) State. Those who spend time pointing fingers and calculating where to assign blame are useless, time wasting morons.

What did Obama ever blame on Bush 43?

What did Obama ever blame on Bush 43?

The Iraq war. Which was only fair, since Bush 43 started it.

Was Obama president when he did that?

They all promote the idea that they will improve on the current (during a campaign) administration, or that they have (once elected) improved on the previous administration. A few of these claims are true, but in Trump’s case they are not, he just makes things up. Also, the executive branch is not one person, there are plenty of corrupt people to blame things on. The trouble is that there is usually a lot of finger pointing but nothing being done. A young administration has only a short window where they can make a few significant changes before it returns to gridlock and stagnation. Trump’s particular talent is his childish refusal to take responsibility for anything, and there is nothing he can do about his gridlocked and stagnated administration. Fire them all, blame whoever, it will make no difference, it’s a decadent shitshow.
