This is so. weird.
The gun, first of all, but by no means last. The nail polish. The wedding ring. The 45 cap. The…crotch. I didn’t notice at first but the camera is zeroed in on her crotch, and she’s all but pointing at it.
Is it just me or is that some bizarre semiotics?

I mean … It’s not like she needed to tell Beto anything about not taking guns. That nonsense about taking people’s AR-15s was an empty bit of campaign rhetoric.
Anyway, I think the framing is supposed to be, like, Powerful Sexy Dangerous or something. Given the “the mom who” bit, I suppose we can add Fecund.
