The arrogance of this guy.
This isn’t Maugham talking to Middle Temple, this is Maugham bullying Middle Temple in public.
It clearly doesn’t concern him at all that appointing a man CEO of Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre is profoundly offensive to women.
Now to discuss that Naomi Cunningham post.

That’s what I’ve been spluttering too, ever since I read it.
He’s fully invested in the TWAW myth, though, so he’s not seeing the situation as a “man CEO”. This is exactly why TWAW must be rejected: so that people see cases like this as special privileges for certain men, not fighting to treat certain women the same as others.
FWIW, before I became more aware of certain UK politicians, I was unused to seeing “Jo” used as a male name, and had never heard of the name “Jolyon”, so I thought JM was female, and probably misgendered him on one or two occasions. But nobody cares about misgendering unless the target is trans.
Nor that Mr. Wadhwa doesn’t have a GRC, so can’t even hide his sex behind a legal fiction. He is biologically and legally male, so cannot be ‘misgendered” by someone acknowledging that fact.
