Unilateral

It’s not a Both Sides issue.

It’s really really not.

Where does that feeling of male entitlement to make and act on threats of violence against women and girls come from? From human sexual dimorphism, of course. Men are stronger than women, so they know they can punch us with impunity while we know the opposite. That’s their entitlement: they know they can, so they do. We know we can’t, so we don’t, and we also know they can, so we are subject to fear.

I don’t think we should let this Clive Lewis thing fade away. I think he should be pressured to explain why he lied about us and shrugged off the threat against us.

Advocating violence against others is wrong & this is no exception.

But as you’ll be aware violent language and actions are not unique to one side on this issue. That doesn’t justify the above in anyway, but it does require we acknowledge the general toxicity & step back from it.

This is horse shit, and its source being a politician (one Clive Lewis MP) should come as no surprise. To anyone.

Sexual body size dimorphism is correlated with intermale competition and mating system. Species with a monogamous mating system tend to show little to no dimorphism while those with high intermale competition, as occurs in in polygynous or promiscuous mating systems, exhibit greater dimorphism. Dimorphic traits are revealed during adulthood and are less discernible before, suggesting pubertal hormones drive dimorphism. A reduction in body size dimorphism in comparison to chimpanzees, along with the small canine size in humans, might reflect a relaxation in intermale competition over access to females during the Homo lineage, indicating a pair-bonding mating system rather than a polygynous one….

By comparing the dimorphism of modern humans and the Homo lineage, we can infer the mating system and selection pressures of our ancestors. For instance, the moderate sexual body size dimorphism seen in humans may indicate a conserved yet tempered predisposition for inter-male violence.

In other words, long before there was any chance for birth of any civilisation, but for competition within and between the sexes being kept to a minimum and co-operation maximised, proto-humans would have provided a lovely source of food for big cats and other predators. However, after the invention of stone tools and weapons, and then metal ones, those same carnivores were exterminated over large areas which they had previously dominated. (eg the ‘Tasmanian tiger’ or thylacine, exterminated in mainland Australia by ‘stone age’ hunter-gatherers.)

In other words, it coulda been a whole lot worse; which of course is no justification for male violence against women, under any circumstances.

A female blogger who I used to follow has shown herself to be an ally of the trans-cult. I don’t know if it was six months or a year ago that I paid a visit to her fairly inactive blog. After all of the stuff I’ve read here and at Linehan’s and elsewhere, about genuine male transwoman and TRA violence against women, I was appalled to see this feminist lefty woman having paroxysms about a woman in a bar somewhere who groped the crotch of the “man” her friend was dancing with because she suspected (correctly it turned out) that the “man” was a transman.

All the death and rape threats and the convicted rapist transwomen and all the rest of it, all off her radar, and this rather lesser event is what got through.

as you’ll be aware, violent language and actions ARE not unique to one side [the TA side] on this issue.

    FIFY, you liar, Clive Lewis.
