Trousers in flames

The lies people tell. This is a journalist.

“Eliminationist” implies genocidal. It’s an outrageous lie, and she must know it is.

“Genocidal.”

It’s a journalist saying this.

We really, really must TERF harder. This has got to be the least effective genocide in history.

I’ve seen some photos of the injuries that were inflicted by murderous MEN on the women who wanted to talk.

    This hack is despicable.

I was thinking that was the least ‘journalisty’ photo I’d ever seen, plus no attribution to an actual publication. Then I followed her links and see she also has an Only Fans. So “Journalist”, or if we’re being extremely polite, citizen journalist.

…they kept telling bystanders that they were maced but it was literally just orange juice.

Such a stupid lie. Orange juice wouldn’t have caused an injury like this.

Here’s some actual journalism about the incident:

Protesters prompt Hollywood Library closure Sunday – KOIN 6 (TV)

It’s quite clear it was the antifa protesters who were responsible for the closure of the library.

That there weren’t enough police available to respond to the calls from those WDI members who were attacked is disturbing, and needs to be addressed.

Yeah, well that’s an ongoing situation in Portland… They’re down about 20% since 2020 and recruitment has been rough nationwide since the supposed “Reckoning”…

Where does Donald Trump stand on all of this.?

Such a stupid lie. Orange juice wouldn’t have caused an injury like this.

Still assault, regardless of what is thrown at another person. Plus there’s just enough “common knowledge” out there about citrus juices that throwing juice at someone else is most likely the result if a deliberate choice to cause harm.

But a bit of an PSA, if I may: orange juice isn’t the harmless “yes but it was only” sort of thing to throw in someone’s face. Orange juice could cause this sort of physical injury, given the right conditions. It’s acidic (pH ~4), can damage eyes (e.g. https://www.ijooo.org/html-article/13128), and damage skin if a spill is exposed to sunlight (e.g. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5506369/).

Makes me wonder in this case if that wasn’t a deliberate, devious, calculated choice to allow the violent offenders some sort of plausible deniability.

Back in the days when I lived in California (55 years ago) I had the idea that Oregon was one of the saner states (along with Minnesota and maybe Vermont). Compared with California maybe it was (“Don”t Californicate in Oregon” was reported as a bumper sticker seen in Oregon), but I fear I’m going to revise my ideas to keep up with modern reality.

Athel:Well, there is Oregon…and there is the Maoist People’s Republic of Portland.

    I’ll take California, sorry.
