If this guy wants to identify as trans, fine, that’s his call. No one else should have to call and treat him as a woman. But there is no such thing as being hijabi, so you can’t be trans hijabi. He and other men who do this are fetishising being a particular kind of woman – one they find even more exotic and exciting to them than just any old white woman. And I get that. A pretty head scarf worn as a voluntary fashion statement looks really nice. As a mandated ‘punishable if you don’t’ religo-cultral marker, not so much. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. With a fair percentage of trans being AG, it was only a matter of time before a noticeable percentage of men who fetishise ‘exotic’ women became apparent.
The next logical step – or at least what identifies as logical in Transworld – has to be lashings of dark foundation creme for that ‘authentic’ ethnic look. Given how blind they are to boundaries, could ‘brownface’ become woke in the name of validation?

I don’t think that Muslim women have that kind of clout, Omar; not even the male women.

I understand that in Iran there is a flourishing trade in restoring virginity to young women. Maybe that would be a profitable sideline.
