Entirely hollow
Trans man Freddy McConnell tells us:
The supreme court judgment on the application of the 2010 Equality Act has rendered the UK’s system of legal gender recognition entirely hollow. It has ruled that men like me who have gender recognition certificates are defined as women in equality law, which applies to organisations ranging from workplaces to public services and sporting bodies. Vice versa for trans women.
But of course trans men are women, just as trans women are men. That’s what the word “trans” is doing there.
What choice do trans people have at this point? Over the past 10 years, their rights have been chipped away in Britain, their lives made increasingly difficult by anti-trans lobbyists with more influential connections and far more money. Systemic transphobia has captured our public institutions with terrifying speed. For its part, the supreme court refused to hear any interventions from trans people before deciding on its recent, devastating ruling.
What are these rights that have been chipped away? It’s not a right to have one’s fictional identity ratified by the state. It’s not a right for men to displace women from women’s rights and organizations and jobs and facilities. It’s not even a right to be flattered and coddled and told how becoming that dress is.
Things were so different in 2016. When North Carolina passed a shocking “bathroom bill” banning trans people from using the correct bathroom, the Labour MP Ruth Cadbury told the Commons that “a bathroom bill would never be passed here in the UK”.
But by “correct bathroom” of course McConnell means “bathroom for the other sex” so it’s not the “correct” one at all. If I go into a public restroom and find a man at the sink, I don’t consider that “correct” at all. (It has happened. The local hipster radio station/hangout place next to a busy bus stop did the toilets free-for-all a few months ago, and I did go in and find a man there, and I got the hell out. Happily they’ve quietly backed away from the whole thing since then.)
MPs who attended the mass lobby probably learned alarming things about what the EHRC’s code of practice might look like, based on the interim guidance it released in April, which is being challenged in the high court by the Good Law project. They might have heard from the news or comment pages that women who are trans may be banned from women’s loos and shelters.
Except of course Freddy means men who claim to be trans, so of course they must be banned from women’s toilets and shelters.

Dammit, I knew I should have kept a link.
Except that’s not actually happening. The High Court have thrown the application back at the kimono-wearing fox-basher’s frequently-failing group, asking them to clarify exactly what it is that they are wishing to challenge, because the application is worded so vaguely it’s impossible for it to be heard as it is. The High Court have told them to re-write it and re-submit it in November.
I’ll see if I can find the link.
Oh, good. It didn’t take as long as I feared; although I did have to scroll past a lot of links to articles which seemed to have swallowed the Good Laugh Project’s propaganda.

Guess what? It was hollow to begin with. Humans can’t change sex. We were told (when it was tactically convenient for trans activists) that “sex” and “gender” were completely different. We knew that. Sex is real; gender is bullshit. But their game all along was to replace “sex” with “gender”, so in effect, they themselves were insisting (again, when it was convenient for them) that “gender” was “sex”. Hence the drive to corrupt government documents, which had only ever recorded “sex”. That box, like those for date of birth, height, or eye colour, was a part of the recording of the basic material facts about the individual in question. There were no boxes for astrological sign, aura colour, or invisible fender essence. But changing that sex designation of “M” or “F” in the passport or birth certificate to accord with a putative “gender identity” didn’t magically change reality. Reality didn’t get the memo. Pretending that it did, was a both a con job and a cruel trick. “Freddy” might be upset now, but women and girls have been victims of this vindictive, bullying fad the whole time. Enforcement of this reality denying fantasy depended entirely on continual human intervention and effort because reality didn’t get the memo. It was always going to be an uphill struggle dependent upon the vagaries of human psychology and politics. Their writ only goes so far, but no farther, as Canute could have told them. That this whole charade has collapsed under the weight of its cruel, contradictory delusions should have come as no surprise to those who foisted them in the first place. But even pious fraud is still fraud. Reality never listened. Reality never went away.
You wanna talk about “captured institutions”?! “Influential connections”?! Trans activism had the WHOLE GODDAMN GOVERNMENT on its side. Hospitals. Prisons. Courts. Rape shelters. The BBC. Transactivism had the POLICE arresting people for limericks, ribbons and stickers that dared assert that men were not women. Women were forced to call their male assailants “she” or “her” in court. The restoration of sanity that the Supreme Court represents isn’t a “chipping away” of trans “rights” it’s a restoration, decontamination, and disinfection of the entire political system that is going to take years. No thanks to you, Freddy. Put down the T, and wake up and smell the bleach.

Standing ovation for not Bruce.
An employee of an infant school near Montpellier has ben arrested for sexual abuse of numerous small children. All the reports so far refer to the accused person as a 59-year old woman, but I shan’t fall off my chair in surprise if it turns out that 59-year old woman” turns out to mean “59-year old man who pretends to be a woman”.
Freddy starts off with this:
I beg to differ. You can’t legislate reality away. Even trying to pretend, and to put into law, that a man is a woman if he or a piece of paper says so, is the real mockery. The trans agenda has consisted mainly of mocking, denigrating, threatening, and otherwise harassing and terrorizing women, and getting tons of praise and social capital for doing so. That seems to have been most of the fun: men getting to “stick it” to women in unimaginable numbers of ways.
