OMG, they’ve misgendered. The genocide!
Here’s an article in Spanish. A couple of notes: this comes after he named an ex-porno actor Minister of Equality. The actor in question, Juan Carlos Florián Silva, wants to be referred to as “Ministra” (i.e., feminine); he says he’s “queer” (“marica”, generally understood as an insult*), not “gay”.
As for Schneider, he’s from Cuba but has Colombian citizenship, with degrees in Feminist and Gender Studies from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and biochemistry from the Universidad de la Habana.
*Perhaps a better translation would be “faggot”, but it doesn’t work in this context.
