She has gone through various processes
Ok so it seems that Australia has the great good fortune of a Sex Discrimination Commissioner who doesn’t know who is which sex.
Let’s pause to think for a moment.
Done?
Ok so how do you be a Sex Discrimination Commissioner IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT SEX PEOPLE ARE?
What’s the job then? Just shrugging? Is that it? Eight hours of shrugging, five days a week?
Meet Dr Anna Cody, the Australia Sex Discrimination Commissioner.
Cody speaks:
Sir, I would question whether or not Roxanne Tickle is not [sic] a man, she is a trans woman, and so she has gone through various processes and has transitioned and she’s a trans woman. So she has access or sought access or was provided access to the Giggle for girls app and then was er taken off the access to Giggle for Girls app.
Malcolm Roberts then asks what sort of chromosomes Tickle has and the Australia Sex Discrimination Commissioner says “I can’t answer that.” “You can’t answer that??” he says wonderingly, and she confirms that no she can’t answer that. “Wow,” he says.
We are left to wonder still. How do you commissioner sex discrimination if you don’t know what sex people are?

I remember PZ having a rant about people insisting that chromosomes are a pretty definitive sex marker. His bone of contention was that very few people even knows their own chromosomal arrangement because virtually nobody has had the relevant test*. I’m assuming that Cody would claim that her not knowing Tickle’s chromosomes is technically correct on the same ‘logic’ that PZ was using, that one cannot definitively know an individual’s chromosome arrangement without testing the individual.
* He also said that chromosome testing was extremely complex, time-consuming and such a highly specialised process that testing didn’t warrant the expense. Essentially, we just had to take his word for it that chromosomes are too complicated and too messy to be an effective indicator of sex. He was either lying or he wasn’t aware that a chromosome test can be done relatively quickly and requires just a cheek swab.

The Australian Human Rights Commission was set up under the 1983-1996 Hawke-Keating Labor Government, basically to serve as a sinecure source for friends, associates (and odd bedmates?) of senior Labor MPs. That bureaucratic bullshit-vending body made absolutely no change or difference to the actual rights of citizens. They were established by violent insurrection, principally in the 1804 Castle Hill* rebellion of convict times, and at the Eureka Rebellion of 1854 on the Victorian goldfields in gold-rush days.
*AI: The Castle Hill Riots, or Rebellion, was Australia’s first major convict uprising in March 1804, led by Irish political prisoners who sought to overthrow British rule, establish Irish governance, and return to Ireland. The planned march to Parramatta was swiftly suppressed by government troops at Vinegar Hill (Rouse Hill), resulting in significant convict casualties and leaders being hanged without trial.
