Aha. So that’s what Trump wants, is it. Well he’s not getting it.

We’re not your people, you worm, we’re our own people, and your longing to make us sit up at attention instead of explaining in detail what a sick fuck you are is exactly why you should have a job emptying the bins in Central Park.
Are all those pardoned, freedom-loving, patriotic January 6 types now going to storm the White House with their Gadsden flags and a gallows? No, because they all think Trump’s on their side, and that they’ll be the ones who get to do the treading, rather than the ones being being trod upon. Never mind about the insane policy/mood swings and tariff madness that’s ruining the US economy. Trump might be a fucking moron, but he’s their fucking moron*. And in a way they’re right; without the MAGA base, Trump would be nothing but a sleazy, tacky, boorish real-estate huckster and sexual predator. But now that he’s risen from the slab and been brought to power, this monster has decided he’s an all-powerful, self-made man who can do whatever the hell he wants. If his base were as repelled by his actual manifest tyranny as they were of the imagined tyranny of a brown man in the White House, there might be some chance for them to rein him in. This seems unlikely. They’re enjoying the ride too much to worry themselves over the destruction of the Republic they claim to love so much.
Interestingly, all those angry, All-American, Red, White, and Blue insurrectionist freedom-fighters weren’t so much about “liberty” as they are about “powersharing.” Turns out that freedom is divisible after all, and as long as they can be made to believe they still have it, everyone else can get fucked, and they’ll happily join in on that fucking. They will cheer the loudest if Trump comes up with some excuse to
postponecancel the midterm elections. They will welcome a third term. Constitution? What Constitution. Don’t be such a buzzkill. They’re winning. They’re in charge. Dictatorship is fine, so long as the dictator has an (R) after his name. Oh for the simple, happy days when they thought Obama was a communist.They think they’re riding shotgun, but they’re just as likely to end up under Trump’s wheels, because they’re supposed to snap to attention along with all of the other peasants and slaves. They are expendable extras, just like everyone else who isn’t Donald J. Trump. You’re only American if you agree with and support him. There’s only room at the top for Trump, and everyone else is supposed to serve and obey him. Anyone who opposes him is an enemy. If these stupid MAGA bastards had been paying attention to his unhinged narcissism, megalomania, and dictator-envy, they would know that the only side he’s on is his own.
*I know, they think he’s a genius, but, as it’s been said before, Trump is a stupid person’s idea of a smart guy, which, if you want to get really reflexively meta, exactly what he thinks of himself. Kinda like the guy acting as his own lawyer having an idiot for a client.
