Ignore the man behind the curtain
It seems Trump thinks he can overrule the Supreme Court. One wonders what he thinks “Supreme” means.
Trump on Monday threatened countries around the world to abide by any tariff deals they agreed to, despite the U.S. Supreme Court striking down many of his far-reaching taxes on imports.
Any country that wants to “play games” with the Supreme Court decision, Trump posted, will be met with “a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to.”
So it’s playing games to heed the Supreme Court, but it’s not playing games for Trump to pretend he can ignore the Supreme Court?
He really doesn’t get the separation of powers thing, does he.
Trump has already signed an executive order enabling him to bypass Congress and impose a 10% tax on global imports, starting on Tuesday, the same day as his State of the Union speech.
He should impose parking tickets on them too. Why not?

Executive orders don’t have the power of bypassing Congress; they are really just opinion. It’s only because Congress allowed them to have power that they do. Congress should just flat out take back the powers they’ve been ceding to presidents for the past century. Not that I trust Congress, but I trust them further than I do Trump.
Part of the problem is, the party who is in power has to be the one to do that, and the party that is in power doesn’t want to do that when it benefits them. The Dems haven’t done so well with that, either, allowing Clinton, Obama, and Biden to make far reaching proclamations and effectively bypassing Congress.
No, he doesn’t. He wants to be a dictator, and dictators only have unification of powers into a single individual. Dictators can do whatever they want. Divine right of kings, etc. The United States doesn’t have kings. That’s the whole point. Like trans-identified men, DJT thinks that wishing it were true makes it true. He has no theory of mind, except in his own little straw-covered orange head.
Trump exposes his stupidity with almost every utterance:
“Any country that wants to “play games” with the Supreme Court decision, Trump posted, will be met with “a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to.””
The tariffs were all imposed by Trump alone, but he’s treating the tariffs as if they were a bilateral treaty between USA and the other nations involved they didn’t ‘agree’ to a damn thing. And, who the hell is playing games with the Supreme Court other than Trump himself? The other nations have no role in whether they ‘abide by’ the tariffs, as tariffs are a tax imposed by the US government on US importers.
All this time and he still thinks tariffs are taxes or fees imposed on the other nations. He truly is incapable of learning.
