A councillor who was investigated over a possible breach of Cornwall Council’s code of conduct will face no further action. The council received ten complaints concerning comments Cllr Dulcie Tudor made about trans people.
…
The complaints largely stemmed from a post Cllr Tudor made on social media which said: “Men claiming trans identity are not more vulnerable than women and girls. This is what they claim but it’s simply not true. A woman dies at the hands of a man every three days in this jurisdiction. Nine men who pretend to be women have been murdered in the last ten years in the UK.”
A woman every three days in that one jurisdiction, compared to nine men in the entire UK in ten years. That’s quite the gap.

I’m not even sure about that nine figure. Sounds high to me. The only homicide of a trans-identifying person in the UK I’d ever heard of in the last several years was the highly-publicized case of a teenage male murdered by a pair of bullies, and the motive was not related to his trans status. I’d be quite surprised if there were any other cases, because the activists have a tendency to scream at the top of their lungs whenever it happens. (They make so much noise whenever it happens to make up for the fact that it happens so rarely.)
Or maybe there were other cases but the specifics were so unseemly that the activists preferred not to call attention to them. Gang- and drug-related violence, that kind of thing. Garden-variety male-on-male homicide…
Arty, I’ve read about a couple who were black, M to F, prostitutes. In short, three groups (F, B, Prostitute) who are all killed at higher numbers than trans. The last time I read about it, the motivation wasn’t known, so there is no reason to assume it was ‘because they were trans’, though a distinct possibility it was because they were male, and the customer expected female.
I’ve heard of cases of Black male trans prostitutes in the US. None in the UK that I’ve heard of, though. The last trans prostitute death I’ve heard of in Canada, or at least Toronto, was back in the ’90s, two victims in one night, one of whom was a friend of mine who was known in the Village as Junior. He was a teen hustler, living in a large, notorious squat at the edge of the Village where many male prostitutes lived. He started walking the trans hooker street as he aged out of the teen male one a couple blocks over. His killing was a targeted attack on trans prostitutes — a horrific hate crime. Though I wouldn’t classify Junior as transgender. (In fact that word wasn’t even all that widely used at the time, even among transvestites, transsexuals, and drag queens. Best I can remember, they were just sorta called “trans”. The terminology was deliberately hazy I guess, probably to spare people’s feelings about a sensitive subject.) Junior never wore women’s clothes in day-to-day life. A little goth makeup, sure. But that was common at the time. As far as I know his crossdressing was limited to when he hustled, and he was very new to it. Trans activists and the media, however, continue to refer to him as a female victim and not a gay male one. It angers me to this day.
Other than that, the last trans killing in Toronto I heard about was three or four years ago: a dispute that turned deadly between two transsexuals who lived together. A trans-on-trans killing.
