Ah yes, this is a very good approach: accuse people of doing bad things then admit that you haven’t read the thing that inspired you to make the accusation. Just plain say that you’re guessing. Has Jonathan never heard about the stringency of UK libel law?

He hopes the article mentioned them; he craves attention, and he gets it.

Never figured Jonny for a sports bro. What does soccer have to do with it? I agree with Freeman, except I have no respect for Ru Paul whatsoever. This garbage has been on the air for far too long. But mocking women pays well. I never did see the entertainment value of it.

There really did seem to be something mean-spirited about “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” that seemed different from older forms of cross-dressing male entertainers, like Danny la Rue, Dame Edna or Lily Savage.
I do remember a seeing a documentary where an all-woman (everything from teenagers to pensioners) audience were happily cheering and laughing along with a Dame Enda performance.
As Freeman pointed out, these entertainers weren’t cruelly mocking women’s bodies.
And let’s not forget the RPDR performer Gottmik, who went on the show to celebrate her mastectomy scars.
