Radio

Apparently JS is going to be on the radio to talk about Why Truth Matters – unless that’s a joke or a fraud or a counterfeit or all three. Maybe it is, since no one told me about it (a reader sent me the link), but in case it’s not and you want to mark your calendars, there it is. Sounds like quite an interesting subject.

    Except.

    – of course, that “The God Delusion” is only “Overrated” by the frightened, dishonest, christian (and muslim) creeps who think that they really have an imaginary friend, and can’t be persuaded to leave their comfort-blankets behind…….

I bought and read Why Truth Matters last week. Many congratulations to you, Ophelia, and Jeremy for an well-written piece of work.

    >Many congratulations to you, Ophelia, and Jeremy for an well-written piece of work.< Gad, Sir! It’s a darn sight more than just “well written”.

Yes, you’re right, Allen: British understatement, maybe!

It’s also well-argued and, in all essentials, right. It’s a valuable addition to the literature defending science and reason against irrationalism and relativism.

(Actually, I put a couple more laudatory epithets in the original comment, but removed them. Hence, the typo “an well…”.)
