Kinda sad/funny: I’d like to think this goof is just some screwed up outlier, but then again, I used to naively assume if you were broadly anti-theocratic/vocally atheist, it was somehow more likely you might have at least a vaguely progressive and literate sexual politics…
So, y’know, trying not to assume too much, now.
I was honestly expecting, should it become Clinton vs. Trump in the general, and especially whenever the polls aren’t going their boy’s way, that said demagogue and his followers will probably set new lows in this regard (dislike losing, yes, on its own… But losing to a woman? That’s a whole new level of screeching, whiny resentment I expect you’ll hear, and see also how it’s relatively _unskilled_ male gamers who are the biggest shits to women online). But Sanders people? Like I said: guess I shouldn’t assume.

Yep. I spent an unfortunate time at a local meetup of progressive voters recently, which was dominated by older white men saying things exactly like this. Absolutely dripping with misogyny. Bernie Sanders might be a good guy, but far too many of his followers are like this.
