Mister Wall goes visiting

Very brief. How brief?

Two minutes.

About the time it took for Pence to make that wildly obnoxious claim.

Most of us don’t think King considered a massive wall built to keep brown people out of White Man’s Country anything to do with the promises of democracy, to put it mildly.

What insight could these hateful fucks possibly have as to the minds of reasonable Americans? And, oh my god, I could almost laugh at the predictability of Republicans lately. The very second they lost the power to do as they will in congress, they very nanosecond, they switch without even blinking from “we have a mandate given to us by the voters to do as we will” to “people need to come to the negotiating table with good faith to make compromises with the other side.”

The seamless transition from one thing to its exact opposite is all very ‘we have always been at war with Eastasia’.

Viewing the top image, I had fantasies of the monument pitching over onto the two representatives of the Executive Branch.

Holms – and the thing of it is, by reasonable compromise, they mean “The Democrats need to come to the table with a proposal that encompasses every single things we want or we won’t go along with it, and we’ll tell everyone how they won’t compromise.”

And people will believe it. I wish I had a dollar for every time I hear the both sidesism – “The Democrats just won’t compromise” – I’d be rich. Especially if I had a dollar for every time during an election that the same people won’t vote for them because they won’t stand firm.
