Interesting. Democrats arrive for a meeting so Trump’s people summon reporters to the Rose Garden. Is there a flower ceremony?

There's a sign in the Rose Garden that says "no collusion, no obstruction" on the podium plus some stats about the Mueller probe, per pool report. Trump has called an impromptu presser.

Dems have arrived to discuss infrastructure, while reporters are summoned to an “impromptu” presser featuring graphics about the Mueller investigation. None of this makes sense.

Trump says he walked into room with Pelosi and Schumer and told them he wanted to do infrastructure but that he won't work with them unless they "get these phony investigations over with." And now he's in the Rose Garden for a presser.

Ah. So it wasn’t impromptu at all. It was fake-impromptu. Real tantrum, fake impromptu press gathering.

In meeting with Schumer and Pelosi this morning, Trump walked in briefly, said he didn't plan to negotiate unless investigations stopped and left. Complained about Pelosi's "cover up" comment. No hand shakes. "No one ever even sat down," per aide. He then went to Rose Garden.
