In a television studio, a sick crew member who coughs during an important scene might be told to leave, so that the actors can refilm. Trump apparently thinks the movie going on in his head is real life… or, maybe, it’s all a commercial selling Donald Trump.
Not to excuse Trump, but Lyndon Johnson was notorious for crudely humiliating staff and Cabinet members.
Being humiliated by this vile creature on national television should surely be a cue for the target, if the target has a shred of self-respect, to resign instantly.
Then again, any one who has agreed to work for this vile creature cannot possibly know the meaning of “self-respect.”
‘I want to release my financial statement.’ Really? A good, old-fashioned ‘coughbullshitcough’ would have earned Mulvaney some respect at that point.
