I saw the other day that Rowling deleted her tweets thanking King, and the fact that she deleted them was being used to “prove” she had “anti-trans views”. “Anti-trans”, like “transphobic”, lacks coherent definition, but even so, there is nothing sinister about retracting thanks to someone who turns out not to have actually supported you.
