John Cleese is on a tear at the moment.
I've been disappointed for many years that some people

don't entirely agree with me about everything
Frankly, I don't know how I put up with it https://t.co/sAc0XAGjWt
This is not the way I see it

A lot of woke behaviours seem to me posturing ; striking attitudes that allow them to experience the lovely, warm glow of moral superiority, while justifying their own aggression by using denial-and-projection defences https://t.co/UdBT9FijWC
Oh, I didn't know that she supported hating vulnerable people.

I'll check it out with her
But the rest of your rambling suggests you are a bit 'vulnerable' yourself https://t.co/QcFX6AA0Dn
I’m hearing Basil in that one. “Oh I see, it’s my fault is it.”

What I’m wondering is how the LGB put up with it? The most murdered part of LGBTQ? Really? But…the statistics show…
Oh, wait a minute. I forgot. They identify as being the most murdered, the most oppressed, the most vulnerable, the most suicidal. That’s all it takes. They identify as that. Who am I to question?
Good form, Basil (I mean, John).

Most murdered? Come off it. One look at official homicide statistics should put that to rest, but activists are actively hostile to data. Just as with the religious, statistics and math and facts are not how they came by their beliefs in the first place. Remember, “If your original Hebrew disagrees with my original King James — your original Hebrew is wrong. If your original Hebrew agrees with my original King James, your original Hebrew is right.”
They’ve heard the idea that trans people are being murdered and denied basic rights at a terrifying rate. They’ve heard it a lot. As Daniel Kahneman wrote in Thinking, Fast and Slow, “People tend to assess the relative importance of issues by ease with which they are retrieved from memory.” Because they so easily recall claims of the dire straits of trans people, they are absolutely certain that any stats showing a contrary scenario are false. And now everyone they talk to treats the claim as obviously true.
Whether due to the company they keep or social media siloing, they’ve heard it about trans people more than any other group, and everyone they interact with is of like mind. As Albert Speer wrote:
“Wrong side of history” is becoming one of those phrases that cause me to just tune someone out after I hear them use it.

Blimey! So on top of the power of transubstantiation, they now claim the gift of prophecy, which is the only way I can think of to know for certain how future historians will view the present.
I’m glad they tell us that their beliefs about themselves are nothing like religion because otherwise I might be fooled into thinking otherwise.
It’s better to be on the wrong side of history than the wrong side of reality
After beating the shit out of Harry and stealing his magic broomstick and wand, it amused the wicked J.K. Growling to seek out the most oppressed children of all, wherever on the planet they may live, and on finding one to swoop down from the sky on the poor, unsuspecting waifs. Alternately cackling maniacally and screaming hate, she would chase the terrified, be-penised little girls, all the while aiming the stolen wand to fire transphobullets at their desperately fleeing bodies.
Inevitably, with their movements hampered by the unfeasibly tight dresses and killer heels they needed to wear in order to pass as young ladies, the children would soon tire and collapse exhausted in a heap upon the ground, turning their sweet, tear-stained little faces to the sky, resigned to their fate as the merciless Growling at last delivered the fatal shots.
After each successful attack, the evil one would use one of her wickedly sharp talons to scratch a ‘T’ into the broomstick and then scratch a line through it.
‘Another one bites the dust’, she would chuckle, before launching herself skyward to hunt down her next victim.
This is true. I know it is because I just made it up myself and I identify it as the truth. And you people support this proven mass murderer! Shame on you!
AoS, you owe me a new keyboard! Spitting out coffee in the hilarity of reading that is definitely not good for the old thing.
