Trump graceful and judicious as ever:

Soon (but not soon enough) the firings-by-tweet will be a thing of the past.

    He’s channeling his inner Dalek.

No doubt there are more to come.

This comes under the category of bad things Trump can do before he’s dragged out of office. There can only be one reason to replace Esper now…

Latest, I think it’s just revenge because of that time Esper did almost everything Trump wanted, but not quite and not in the really mean and vindictive way trump wanted it done.

Either that or he wants someone who will do unspeakable things as a final hurrah.

Is it too much to expect that Republicans gain a littel respect by invoking in the 25th? Now.

I dunno Roj, their respect comes from GOD, ask Newt or Rush, they’ll confirm. The 25th is only there to protect us regular folks. :)

Meanwhile, Proponent of using IQ tests to screen immigrants named to senior NIST post.

Fortunately it’s a political post, which means he’ll be gone when Biden comes in. But still.

WaM, too bad they didn’t use IQ tests when the Drumpf family came here from Germany. Maybe we should have some sort of IQ test for presidents? We’d have had a very different 45 if they had to pass an IQ test…and probably a very different 43.

Oh, I see now, it’s because he’s the 45th president. I always thought that ‘Trump 45’ referred to his IQ.

    iknklast,

Not to mention 40, and whatever number Harding was.

Nixon, on the other hand, probably would’ve broken the scale. If anything, they would’ve needed an upper limit for him.

As for the Drumpf family, they seem to have plenty of intelligence; they just forgot to pass it on to Donnie.

Looks like the selection of Miller is illegal. Not that Trump cares.

Miller arrived at the Pentagon on Monday amid questions about the legality of his appointment. By law, the deputy secretary of defence, currently David Norquist, would become acting secretary in the event of a sudden departure at the top. Furthermore, the law requires that a secretary of defence to have been out of active duty military service for seven years. Miller, a former Green Beret, only left the military in 2014.

Esper refused to use the military against urban protestors. One danger is that he’s putting someone in place who will follow his orders. This isn’t over yet.

    @WaM:

That is the concern I alluded to all the way up there.
