I’ll bet she regrets it. It sucks to be made responsible for your bad behaviour.

I doubt it. She was just doing what Jesus would do.

It’s been pointed out that this is a hostage negotiation tactic, with the theory being that humanising the hostages makes it more difficult for the hostage-taker to murder them.

Seth, that is a scary analysis, but it does feel like Congress is being held hostage by Greene and the other gun-toting right wing Representatives and Senators. And if Congress is held hostage, the country is. I do feel like we are constantly under siege, even with the relief of the new presidency.

Hoyer’s main point is very good, but his comments about them not being “the Squad” are odd. AOC coined the term, they call themselves that frequently, and they even added 2 new members to “the Squad” after the 2020 elections.

Maybe he meant they’re not just the Squad, they’re also individual people with lives, etc.

Very disappointed in Republicans for not kicking MTM off committees, etc., and asking her to resign. Trumpism still has a hold on them.

    MTM

Do you mean MTG? Or is there another MT[X] I’m not familiar with? Because the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Mary Tyler Moore. Yeah, she definitely shouldn’t be on committees, being dead, but maybe being dead she would be the least troublesome member of a committee.
