I would like to see multiple lawsuits or class actions filed for sexual harrassment and violating these women’s civil rights. Surely there’s some law or other to address this injustice, and if there’s not, there ought to be. Thomas in a short interview basically said he’s “ignoring” the issue and “focusing on swimming.” Must be nice to stick your head in the sand and pretend you’re the only person who matters. I think that’s called sociopathy.
I looked up McHugh, not being familiar with his name, with some trepidation–I know that the Right media outlets are frothing to use this as a wedge issue, even as I become more convinced on the politics involved. But I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he’s a professional journo, and likely a bona fide Lefty (producing an Al Gore special on climate change?). So his words should have some weight in the discussion (sadly, likely more than most women’s–he is a white dude, after all).
