Literally just a man calling himself a woman
OJ has a gotcha.
He’s literally a man running for public office while claiming to be a woman. That’s it. That “it” is not nothing. Imagine a white man running against Raphael Warnock while claiming to be black – imagine how well that would go over. Consider why that would not go over well. Now apply that to a man running for public office while claiming to be a woman. That’s it, and that’s all you need.
Either they don’t understand the problem or they purposefully misstate it.
Or both.
Eddie Izzard is a “trans person” who insisted for years that the clothes he was wearing were HIS clothes, and the idea that they were “women’s clothes” was absurd. That’s why he is the perfect example for the gender critical argument. There are four options regarding Izzard’s gender identity:
1) She has until recently been mistaken about it
2) She has until recently been lying about it
3) he is currently mistaken about it
4) he has recently started lying about it
There is no way for any of us to know which of these are true. There is no way for any of us to know which of these options apply to any other person claiming to be trans. And it shows that it is entirely possible for anyone at all to be wrong or lie about their gender identity at any moment, which is why we should be cautious about letting Big Beardie Dave into the women’s changing room or encouraging children to have body parts removed.
