No adult really needs to ask
Wait wait wait – Mhairi Hunter tripped herself up with this one.
See it? Of course you do. Why does no adult really need to ask what a woman is? Because we already know, right? That has to be what she means?
But what do we already know? That women are adult human females – the sex that isn’t male, just as men are the sex that isn’t female.
But Mhairi Hunter’s whole thing is that we don’t know that, that in fact that is wrong and evil.
So, what the hell is she talking about?
The wheels really are falling off this rusty wagon.
Karen White (ne: David Thompson (born Stephen Terence Wood) says he’s a woman. Because he’s “transgender.” He’s also a serial rapist.
“Self-ID” means that “woman” can be a “feeling” in one’s head. (When it’s not just a convenient alibi for male sexual predators.) But what does that mean?
That something so intellectually barren can have had such a wide influence makes me afraid for the future of our species.
No, it’s not. It’s a litmus test to see who understands, recognizes and acknowledges reality. It’s a means of detrmining who is willing to tell the truth, and who is comfortable telling lies. The goal isn’t to force politicians to “exclude” people, it’s to get them to admit that they acknowlege that women have rights in law. If someone is unable or unwilling to define what a woman is, they will likely be unable or unwilling to defend those rights. Why would women entrust the defence of their rights to someone who doesn’t know what a woman is?
The fact that so many politicians stumble, balk, or equivocate when asked that question shows their cognative dissonance kicking in. They too know that no adult really needs to ask that question. Everybody knows. Simple question; simple answer. It shouldn’t be hard. But it is. And now they have to answer it. They know they’re going to piss somebody off. How to choose? Their answer shows whom they are prepared to respect (or fear), and whom they are willing to ignore or betray. Whom do you choose? Women are listening.

In the United States, the Republicans found that they can use this as a wedge issue against the very foolish Democrats who made it their hill to die on. They will use it and use it against Democrats as they take majority in the Senate, weaken the Democratic majority in the House, and probably take the White House in two years.
I see a great fall coming for the left due to this, and in the meantime Roe V Wade is toast, Casey is toast, probably Griswold is toast. We love our freedom so much that we’ll vote in the very authoritarians who will take it away, just because the Democrats laughbably stand on the idea that a man can be a woman.
