Definitely a raging narcissist. One who used to be funny, but is collapsing, as such people tend to do in old age, because it wasn’t supposed to happen to them – vampires are supposed to be immortal. All the legends say so.

Yes, by all means, constituents should be satisfied that he intends to make their icky little village his main home for a little while. Of course, they should not blame him if he wants to get away to his other homes in nicer places from time to time.
