In nearly sixty years on this earth I can only think of a literal handful of times I’ve seen a man be publicly criticised for their clothing. In every case it’s been a conservative authoritarian man doing it. Bragg should think about his life choices.
Admittedly, he was filming an ad for Country Life butter, but I bet he didn’t foresee himself doing that back in ’77 when he was belting out ‘Your future dream is a shopping scheme’ (Anarchy in the UK).
Oh dear God, why does autocorrect persecute me so much? Does it not understand that ‘Holms’ requires no possessive apostrophe? Has it never heard of John Lydon? Even now, I have the red squiggle under ‘Holms’ (two of them now) as though autocorrect, having been denied the pleasure of correcting’ me a second time, is now pleading with me to amend it myself. To make matters worse, my smartphone must assume that it is so much smarter than am I because it does not allow me to switch off the autocorrect. Probably thinks it’s for my own good.
