Who says they’re “one of the most persecuted minorities in society”? Are they really? Persecuted in what sense? Why do grown-up people with serious jobs keep repeating this childish claim?

Hmm. Just saw a TV advertisement pointing out that Jews are 2.4% of the US population but are the targets of 58% of hate crimes. Seems relevant to the discussion.
Also worth mentioning… hate wins all the time, not forever, but throughout all history I think “hate” has racked up a much higher score than “love”.

I’d be reluctant to take a TV advertisement at face value, ads are made to persuade and are as emotive as the claims of the TRA/MRA/Incel Alliance.
I suspect that some black and Fn groups might dispute that figure.

Regarding hate crimes, here’s a report on 2021 statistics. According to Reuters, 64.5% of victims were targeted because of race/ethnicity, but that doesn’t seem to include anti-Semitic hate crimes. Those are classified under religion. 14.1% of the hate crimes were based on religion, and of those, just over half were aimed at Jewish people. So perhaps that’s where the 58% comes from.
They don’t break out hate crimes against trans people, but instead include them under the umbrella of “the broader LGBTQ community”, which suffered 415 crimes (compared to 543 targeting gay men).
So.
BTW some time ago someone on the comments to this blog recommended the webcomic sinfest because of its portrayal of the whole gender issue. I started reading it from the beginning and have just got to early May 2019 which is about where it starts that
Earlier it had been criticizing the whole notion of sex work as in any voluntary or beneficial.
Re #9, hate crimes
We never seem to see “hate” crimes against the T broken out by type, in order to determine how much of that was “misgendering”. My hunch is that “misgendering” is a substantial portion.
The link you provided does insist that it is referring to crimes committed with a motivation of hate; that is, not assaults against Jews, but only assaults that were known to be directed deliberately against Jews. That would have been my next question.

I read it daily. Very well done. He does take some stances I don’t agree with (he opposes forced vaccines and pandemic shutdowns and mask mandates), but he has a lot of good material on misogyny and gender ideology.

The Reuters report links to an FBI press release, which breaks things down a little more. (The press release links to the underlying dataset, but I’m not going down that rabbit hole.)
The most frequent type of hate crime in the dataset is “intimidation”, followed by “simple assault”. In about 3% of the cases, the victims “were targeted because of the offenders’ gender identity bias”; I suppose that means the victims were trans (or perceived as such). There’s another 1% where the victims “were targeted because of the offenders’ gender bias. ” I suspect they’re using “gender” to mean “sex” there.

Re: Sinfest
For that last year or two I have been reading a week of sinfest each day, starting from its first days.
Since I am only up to what he did in 2019 I haven’t seen any of his anti-vaxx stuff.
I can understand regarding pandemic lockdowns as maybe more costly than they are worth even if I disagree, but the cost of wearing a mask is trivial even if it had turned out to be useless. The risk of getting vaccinated looks to be trivial compared to the risk of not getting vaccinated.
Re sinfest
He makes reasonable points about civil liberties, and hypocrisy, even if I disagree with the main thrust. So I cringe through some of the plot lines, and eventually he gets to stories I like better. I like the art work, and I’ve come to recognize and enjoy various recurring characters.
