Top front page news – drag queens and the cost of living.

Women, of course, have no concerns about the pinch of rising costs. All women are rich as well as cis. How hateful and privileged they are.

    Honestly, the headline could have been literally any group aside from billionaires and been true. So why, then, single out drag queens? Other than to signal that drag queens are more worthy of concern than other groups, I mean.

    Oh? There was no other reason? Gotcha.

    Lincoln’s Doctor’s Dog is a trope of publishing, the title being the supposed guarantee for a best seller, because the most popular topics are Abraham Lincoln, doctors, and dogs. It is credited to Bennet [Bennett] Cerf. There are real instances of with this title, including a story by Christopher Morley, the basis for a film in Screen Directors Playhouse, and more recent.

    Bennett Cerf (1898-1971) seems to have predicted the algorithms of today.
